Eddie is a technical trainer writer for a major world wide ministry. He loves his wife of 17+ years, his cats, family, friends, and of course kite flying. He lives in Charlotte, NC and was born in Brevard, NC. He attended Brevard High School, Brevard College, and Appalachian State University. Eddie’s Parents and his younger sister all live in Brevard North Carolina along with most of his extended family. Eddie’s favorite hobby as you may have guessed by the title of this blog page is kite flying. He has been flying kites since about 1996 as a serious hobby. He joined the WACKOS (www.wackos.org) kite club in 2003 a year after moving to Charlotte, NC.

Eddie’s other hobbies and interest include photography, hiking, and gaming (X-Box 360). Most weekends you can find him either gaming on the 360, his gamer tag is Do Wah Diddy, or out at Frank Lisk Park in Concord, NC. He attends Central Church of God in Charlotte. He is passionate about his Christian Faith. He came to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of eight years old at a Vacation Bible School meeting at Turkey Creek Baptist Church in Pisgah Forest, NC. He is also a licensed minister in the Baptist church, although he has never served as a full time pastor. He has been on several mission trips, the most memorable being a trip to Honduras in 2001.

Over the years Eddie has had several jobs in different fields including things like warehouse worker, assembly line work, over the road truck driver, mobile home sales, car sales, insurance sales, recruiter, vacuum cleaner sales, mortgage loan officer, and most recently trainer/writer. He is sort of a jack of all trades if you will.

Eddie has dreams of opening a kite store one day on the North Carolina coast. He also looks for opportunities to serve in the ministry. He loves to visit new places and he and his wife travel as much as they can. In the recent past they took a trip to Chicago, and this year they will be returning to the Outer Banks of North Carolina for a family vacation. Last year Eddie got to go on a business trip to New York City that he really enjoyed. He was able to attend the taping of The Late Show with David Letterman and he saw Spamalot.

Eddie considers himself some what of a geek. He loves to play with new gadgets and will most likely have some tech entries in his blog.

Eddie believes that friends and family are far more important than most anything else in life. Life would not be what it is without good friends and loving family members to share it with.
