During the week I read hundreds of news articles using Google Reader. Some of those articles really surprise me, some of them make me laugh, some make me angry and some make me cry.  Anyway I thought I would share some of the links to articles that I found interesting for some reason from time to time. Below you will find links to these articles and some commits from me about them. I hope you find these articles as interesting as I did.

1. File this under sick in the head:

“The 16-year-old girl whose phone calls led to a raid on a polygamist compound in Texas identified Dale Evans Barlow as the man who she said beat, choked and sexually assaulted her after their “spiritual marriage,” according to a court document unsealed Wednesday.” (From CNN.COM)

I don’t know how this kind of stuff can still be going on in this country. I am quite sure this is not the worst case out there but it still sickens me. What bothers me most is that the sick people that perpetrate this kind of crime on under aged children think that they are some how obeying God. These people are mental and should be put away for a long, long time. Personally if someone did this to one of my loved ones and I found out about it the law would be the least of their worries. We need tougher penalties for this type of sick behavior and the legal system needs to make an example out of these people. You would think that after that creep Warren Steed Jeffs was put away last year that some of these sickos would get the message. I have a feeling that some of this same kind of activity was going on in Waco a few years ago. Unfortunately, in Waco a lot of innocent women and children died there before the case could be investigated fully. At least that nut job leader in Waco will not hurt anyone else.

2. File this under just “Plane” crazy:

Ok I already have a fear of flying and this article did not help this fear at all. CNN has learned that American’s fleet of MD-80 planes has recorded 23 landing gear problems in the last few months; several have resulted in emergency landings. Pilots say the Fort Worth-based airline and theFederal Aviation Administration are not doing enough to find a solution.  (From CNN,COM) If you are planning to fly in the next few weeks you may want to read the article so you will know what type of plain not to fly in, at least until they address these issues. 

3. God rocker Eric Clapton. If you find those word hard to reconcile you would not be alone. Also you might just be intrigued by this article. I am filing this one under “Tears In Heaven”. I will let the article speak for it’s self.
